SELF-CATERING HOLIDAY LODGE FOR HIRE IN SOUTH SOMERSET
Our original log cabin is available for hire all year round. Based in Sparkford, South Somerset, we are close to the Dorset border and a great location to explore the West Country.
Built in a traditional style of European log cabin, this lodge was hand-built using wood from the Black Forest by traditional craftsmen. Our Blackforest Lodge is perfect for holidays in all seasons, with double glazing and insulation making it perfect for winter retreats. There's also a wonderful outdoor decking area for dining, making it perfect in the summer as it catches a lot of sunshine.
Set in a private area of our adult only touring park, our holiday lodges are also for over 18s. This holiday lodge is suitable for up to four adults.
Our Blackforest Lodge has one bedroom with built in wardrobes and dressing table, sleeping two adults. The large living area has a corner seating area, which transforms in to a king size double bed for two further adults. The kitchen area is fully equipped with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery and features a gas hob and a combination microwave oven, along with all-important tea-making facilities.
There is a dining area between the living and kitchen areas, with a table which can either be used in situ by a couple, or pulled out in to the room for four people. In the summer months, you may wish to sit outside on the decking area to eat.
The large wetroom bathroom is to the left of the entrance hallway, with a large shower, sink and toilet.
We provide duvets, pillows and blankets but we normally ask our guests to provide their own bed linen and towels. If you require us to provide towels and bedding, we there is a small surcharge. Free WiFi with a Freeview TV is also available in the lodge.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE HOLIDAY LODGE ACCOMMODATION
Our Blackforest Lodge is our original wheelchair accessible holiday lodge accommodation. This self-catering lodge accommodation is fully adapted for wheelchair users with an emphasis on open space, larger rooms and doorways and long length pull cords for lights. The front doorway is accessed via a long, low-rise ramp. Access is available to the seated shower area as well as full kitchen facilities. We have accommodated many customers who are reliant on wheelchairs or have mobility difficulties and all have commented on the excellence of this facility for their needs.
There is a large outside decking area wrapping around the lodge, which is accessed through the living area. We provide garden seating for outdoor dining on the lodge decking and there is a grape vine which grows in the summer.
This is a non-smoking facility and we do not accept any pets in this Lodge except bona fide assistance dogs by prior arrangement. Minimum hire two nights. This self-catering lodge is available for hire for both long and short lets in Somerset all year round.
"The site is immaculately kept, festive decorations were lovely and the whole site has a nice feel about it. Full recycling facilities are available and encouraged. The owners are friendly and welcoming and have in-depth knowledge about the area and events. We stayed in a wheelchair friendly lodge with no issues at all. All rooms are suitable for wheelchair users with room to manoeuvre. Parking outside the main door to the lodge. This is a great find and suitable for a long or a short stay. We can accommodate couples or groups of up to 8 adults across two private lodges to get ready in peace and quiet and ensure you have a good night's sleep before, and after, the party! Our holiday lodges for hire provide a lot less restriction and a lot more space than a hotel or B&B, with your own private kitchen facilities. We can help arrange a route to walk to venues or provide telephone numbers of local taxis to help you get to the venue on time. There is private parking for up to two vehicles outside each holiday lodge.
