SPARKFORD VILLAGE

We are situated in Sparkford, South Somerset, just five miles from the Dorset border. Our caravan park is easy to find, just off Sparkford village High Street and set back from the road. We have easy signposting from both directions and Tourist Board signs from miles around guiding you in to Sparkford.

Our adult only touring and camping with holiday lodges for hire make a great base to explore Somerset and Dorset. We are open all year.

HORRELL & HORRELL

A new field to fork restaurant has opened in Sparkford village run by Horrell & Horrell, previously of Michelin listed Roth Bar and Grill in Bruton. All food is sourced locally, or grown in their own smallholding, and dinners are cooked on the fire and hosted in their barn.

They will be hosting four course dining events in their barn on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year, and just a short stroll down past the Sparkford cricket ground. There are just 20 places available per evening, with tickets available to book online below, or private hire for a group is available by contacting them direct:

HAYNES MOTOR MUSEUM

Many of our guests book their holiday with us in Sparkford just to visit the world famous Haynes Motor Museum. The museum is just half a mile away from us and holds monthly car meets, car boot sales, local markets and various events throughout the year.

For car fans, we'd also recommend taking a look at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton (5 miles) for a "drive and fly" weeke

CYCLE ROUTES

There are loads of great cycle routes to enjoy across Somerset and Dorset. The South Somerset Cycleway is an 80 mile route running through Sparkford village and can easily be picked up to explore the rest of the county. The route can also be split in to sections if you don't feel quite like cycling 80 miles in one go!

We've put together a handy page of local cycling routes, including ideas for peddle bikes and electric bikes. If you don't fancy bringing your own bike, you can also hire one from nearby Bruton Bike Hire and have it delivered to the site.

KING BRAIN CIDER

Our nearest traditional Somerset cider farm is just on the edge of Sparkford village at Little Weston. The King Brain farm has been owned by the same family for five generations and use local heritage apples in their range. We'd definitely recommend a visit, where you can try their many different drinks and purchase straight from the farm.
