MAPLE TREE HOLIDAY LODGE FOR HIRE IN SOMERSET
We are incredibly excited to introduce our new holiday lodge for hire in South Somerset. The largest of our holiday lodges for hire, the Maple Tree lodge sleeps up to six adults, with two wetroom bathrooms.
This self-catering holiday lodge is available all year round for adult only holidays. Our lodges are sited on the edge of our 5* touring and caravan park in South Somerset, close to the Dorset border.
Our Maple Tree lodge is accessed by stairs to the front door, with ramp access to the back door. The entire lodge is wheelchair accessible, where we have drawn on experience of providing wheelchair accessible facilities for over 20 years. The lodge is double glazed and suitable for holiday hire all year round.
This holiday lodge has a large, open plan living, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen area features a full modern kitchen, with oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. Our lodges are all fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking equipment. The dining area features a large dining table with six chairs for communal dining. The living area features two sofas, which can also be used as sofa beds as well as a communal area.
The Maple Tree holiday lodge has been built to meet the ongoing need for larger accommodation units, allowing up to six adults to holiday together under one roof. Our lodges are particularly popular for multi-generational groups, holidaying across touring and lodge units together and also those looking for self-catering accommodation to attend events nearby in Somerset and Dorset. We also find many people who book our holiday lodges are simply looking for a more luxury holiday, where they can be left alone for the duration of their stay with full facilities for catering and private bathrooms. As an established provider of accessible holidays in South Somerset, we can also cater for larger groups with more than one wheelchair user in parties for this lodge, or several people with disabilities or needing extra help with access.
We provide duvets, pillows and blankets but we ask our guests to provide their own bed linen and towels. This can be provided at a small extra cost. Free WiFi and Freeview colour TVs are available in each lodge.
Please note we are an adult only park (18+) and do not accept children. We do not accept dogs in our holiday lodges.
WEDDING ACCOMMODATION SOMERSET FOR GROUPS
We are ideally situated for weddings and event accommodation for Sparkford Hall, North Cadbury Court and The Sparkford Inn in South Somerset. Whether you are looking to stay as a couple or as a group of up to 8 adults across two private lodges, we make a great private base to get ready in peace and quiet. Our holiday lodges for hire provide a lot less restriction and a lot more space than a hotel or B&B, with your own private kitchen facilities. We can help arrange a route to walk to venues or provide telephone numbers of local taxis to help you get to the venue on time. There is private parking for up to two vehicles outside each holiday lodge.
The Maple Tree Lodge is set up for wheelchair access throughout, with consideration for a wide variety of disabilities for both those with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. The whole lodge has adequate wheelchair access and turning zones and is ideal for those needing to holiday with family and friends or assistants, as there are two separate bedrooms and bathrooms.
The holiday lodge has low worktops and space for a wheelchair user to fit their chair under the worktops. The higher cabinets have pull down shelving so that these can be accessed by wheelchair users. There is an island featuring a low level fridge and freezer as well as the possibility of sitting under the bar for use as a breakfast bar.
The dining area has six chairs, which can either be used to transfer to with space available either side. It is also possible to fit a narrow wheelchair in between the chairs on each side, or take up more room with a larger chair at the ends of the table, whilst still having significant overhang to be seated at the table.
There are two main bedrooms in the lodge. The master bedroom features a king size divan bed, with fitted wardrobe and transfer room. This bedroom has an enormous en suite, with wheel-in hand-held shower, toilet with transfer bars and a low level sink with grab rails. There is a full length mirror to aid independent dressing and to be available for those who are standing as well as wheelchair users. The bathroom is non-slip wetroom clad, with a shower seat.
The second bedroom features two single beds, a wheel-under vanity table with mirror and built in wardrobe. There is a separate family bathroom next door, which is also a wet room and wheelchair accessible. The wetroom features non-slip flooring and cladding throughout. There is a toilet with transfer bars, sink with built in grab rails and a sunk in wheel-in hand-held shower.
All plug sockets and light switches are of suitable level for independent use for wheelchair users. All door frames are large enough to fit standard size wheelchairs. The entire lodge is on one level, with no raised thresholds. The terrace area is also on one level and accessible by ramp.
