Still looking for more? Book in for two extra days to explore two of South Somerset's best outdoor activities:

CADBURY HILLFORT: We are very lucky to be within a short walk of the Iron Age hillfort at South Cadbury, thought to be home to King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Cadbury Hillfort is a challenging walk from our park and a 500ft climb to the summit to reveal views across Somerset and Dorset.

THE NEWT IN SOMERSET: A magnificent Georgian country estate and gardens, The Newt spans over 300 acres of woodland, formal gardens and working farmland. With an on-site excavated Roman villa and accompanying museum; a bee-zantium and even their own crystal-lined wyvern grotto, there's enough to keep you busy for a week, let alone a day! The Newt is sponsor of the Chelsea Flower Show, so you'll find some stunning gardens inspired by Emily Hobhouse and The Newt's South African sister estate, Babylonstoren.
