OUR TOP TIPS FOR SOMERSET
What are the best things to see and do in Somerset? The best way of finding out is ask Somerset locals - and you're in luck, because we're all Somerset born and bred! Take a look at our Visit Somerset page for Somerset traditions, lesser known places to visit and all year round activities.
HIRE A HOLIDAY LODGE
We have two holiday lodges available for hire all year round, making a great base to explore the county whilst having your own kitchen, bathroom and comfy beds.
CADBURY CAMELOT
Cadbury Camelot at South Cadbury is thought to be the site of the King Arthur's Camelot. The hillfort dates back to the Iron Age and is a great walk from our park. On Midsummer's eve (23 June), the hillfort is said to turn as clear as glass and inside can be seen King Arthur and his knights of the round table.

SUPER LOCAL
We're within a short walk of three local pubs in Sparkford, Queen Camel and South Cadbury and two great local cafes within a mile.
We recommend The Mildmay Arms at Queen Camel for their great Sunday roasts, pub classics and seasonal food. Cam's Kitchen at Queen Camel is also a great choice for coffee, cake and light bites.

ADULT ONLY SUPER SITE
Caravan Magazine have named us one of their "Adult Only Super Sites"! See why else we've been in the press over on our press page.
BEST FARM SHOPS IN SOMERSET
Somerset is known for fantastic produce, so it make sense to show it off in fantastic farm shops! We'd recommend The Old Parlour in Weston Bampfylde (1 mile); Teals Farm Shop in South Cadbury (2 miles) and Durslade Farm Shop in Bruton (8 miles). All three also have fantastic cafes, serving up local produce for light meals, coffees and homemade cakes.

CYCLING ROUTES
With cycle routes across the county, you'll find maps to suit pedal cycle and electric bike rides on our cycle route page. Our caravan park is in a great position to begin many of these cycle routes.

BEST FOOD AND DRINK DELIVERIES
If you'd rather stay on site this summer, you can have food and drink delivered to your tourer or tent!
Our local bakery deliver in the morning, five days per week. We send out their menu in our welcome pack before your arrival.
You can also have deliveries from local farm shops at The Newt and Durslade Farm, which are two of Somerset's best foodie destinations. If you're looking for something sweet, we also recommend ordering from The Chocolate Society in Bruton.
Of course, all these wonderful shops are also open to in person visits!
FIVE STAR SOMERSET
You'll have likely seen two of Somerset's most talked about new destinations all over the internet. The Newt is a country estate, gardens and woodland, situated just 5 miles from our site and makes a really special day out for garden and food lovers. Our second luxe recommendation goes to Osip in Bruton, which is our nearest Michelin starred restaurant offering a regularly changing tasting menu of local ingredients.

SUMMER WEDDING ACCOMMODATION
We're in easy distance of some of Somerset's best wedding venues at North Cadbury Court and Sparkford Hall, as well as many further afield.
If you're looking for wedding accommodation, we are an ideal place to park your touring caravan or motorhome and we include a free tow car with your motorhome booking. Alternatively, we have two holiday lodges for hire, which make a great base for getting ready for a special day!

SOMERSET CIDER
Somerset is known for cider and we're very fortunate to have a local cider farm within walking distance. King Brain Cider have been producing Somerset cider for five generations and are open seven days a week. You can walk to the farm and try tasting their range of ciders.
NATIONAL TRUST
We have lots of National Trust properties near us in Somerset and a few a little further afield in Dorset and Wiltshire. Many of our customers come caravanning with us and use us as a base for a week or so to make the most of their National Trust memberships. Our nearest National Trust properties are Lytes Cary, Tintinhull and Montacute, with most of our guests also making a beeline for Stourhead.
