We're open all year at Long Hazel Park with availability over Christmas and New Year. If you'd like to join in the festivities in December in Somerset, with the build up to Christmas, we've got loads of things to see and do. For December touring caravan and motorhome availability, and Christmas and New Year availability, take a look at our online booking system:
Due to a cancellation, we now have one semi-serviced hardstanding pitch with 16 amp electric hook-up and grey water drain available from 22nd December to 3rd January. This is our final pitch available with a longer stay over Christmas and New Year. This pitch is suitable for motorhomes and caravans up to 8.5m.
We have one standard hardstanding up to 8 metres suitable for a caravan or motorhome available 31 December - 3 January.
Guest favourite, Christmas at Stourhead, is back again this December with new light displays. Spend a few hours in their grounds enjoying sparkling tunnels, giant baubles and glistening trees drenched in jewel-like colour.

Although Stourhead is in Wiltshire, it's actually only a 15 minute drive away from us in Somerset and is one of the most visited National Trust gardens by our holidaymakers.

Our adult only, privately run caravan site is open all year for holidays. We're the only VisitEngland five star rated Touring and Camping Park in South Somerset and have been given a Gold Award from The AA, making us one of the top small sites in the UK. We're also a Premier Parks member, chosen as one of their Top 100 sites.

Our caravan park has 25 standard and fully serviced touring pitches available and has capacity for RVs up to 40ft. We have availability for 25 tent pitches for camping in the summer months. We also have two holiday lodges available for hire all year round.
The popular Clarks Village ice skating rink will be back again this November, December and January.

Clarks Village shopping outlet at Street is a great place to do your Christmas shopping, where you can pick up designer discounts at 60% off RRP at more than 90 stores.

The home to Clarks shoes of Street, established in 1825 in Somerset, the shopping centre features a great Clarks shoes outlet. You'll also find Hobbs, Barbour, Le Creuset, Joules, Dune, Radley and much, much more! With some great homewear and camping shops, you'll also find some wonderful bits for your caravan too.
Spend a day out at Longleat's Treasured Tales: The Festival of Light 2023, where you'll see your childhood favourites come to life alongside the safari animals.

The festival begins in November and runs in to January 2024, so it will be in full swing by December. There's enormous lanterns dedicated to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe; Cinderella; Snow White and The Wizard of Oz this year!

Motorhome Magazine Monthly named us one of their Top 10 sites for Festive Breaks in 2022. As a Premier Parks top site, and a VisitEngland 5 star Touring and Camping Park, we are also currently the Gold Award winner of the South West Tourism Awards Best Camping and Caravanning Park in the South West region.

We are open all year, with hardstandings suitable for all weather conditions, even if we end up with a white Christmas!
New Year's Eve has become a very popular time of year for bookings for touring units over the past few years. Whether you're looking to visit friends, or wishing to get away from it all for a few days, we have currently have pitches remaining to see in 2024.

We are within a short distance of 3 local pubs: The Sparkford Inn, The Mildmay Arms and The Camelot.

Join The Newt, near Castle Cary, for great activities in the build up to Christmas. If you're an RHS member, you can use your membship for free entrance on Tuesdays. Otherwise, we'd recommend purchasing a membership to The Newt on the first day of your holiday - there's so many things to do across their 300 acres of formal gardens, woodlands and buildings, you'll never run out of things to do!

The Bishop's Palace at Wells is hosting their own festive light display this December. It will be open to the public from 2 December until 21 December, with the illuminations open from 3:30 - 7:30pm. Their cafe will also be serving Christmas themed treats!

Art gallery Hauser & Wirth Somerset are embracing their Swiss heritage with a traditional Kunsthalle-style exhibition, GRUPPENAUSSTELLUNG.

From 20 November to 1 January, they'll be hosting a Fondue Experience at their on-site restaurant, Roth Bar and Grill, where you can cosy up on sheepskin throws and enjoy a traiditional Swiss fondue.
If fondue isn't your fave, Roth Bar and Grill are also hosting a Cocktail, Curry and Carols night on 21 and 22 December. This one is incredibly popular and always sells out in advance, so don't dilly dally with booking!

A three course meal costs just £35.00 per person, with butter chicken and a Sri Lankan beef curry on this year's menu, alongside vegetarian options.

The much-loved Christmas Carols under Concorde will be back at RNAS Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum on 15 December this year, with the HMS Heron Royal Navy Volunteer Band perform under Concorde 002 in Hall Four of the Yeovilton museum.

At just 4 miles from the Fleet Air Arm Museum, this is an easy journey to make for such a fantastic evening out. The air base has enough room to park your motorhome in their car park during the concert.
