Visit the new Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely exhibition at nearby world-famous gallery, Hauser & Wirth in Bruton. The couple's most famous work is the 1983 Igor Stravinsky Fountain outside the Pompidou Center in Paris.
The exhibition takes place as part of Jean Tinguely's centenary celebrations and is the first UK exhibition dedicated to both artists. It will feature unseen works on paper and art decor by Saint Phalle, alongside shooting paintings and monumental open-air sculptures. Iconic kinetic machines by Tinguely range from the 1950s to the final year of his life, in addition to multifaceted collaborative works made by the duo throughout the 1980s.

Learn about the Monmouth Rebellion at the 340th anniversary exhibition. "After Sedgemoor" marks the anniversary of the Monmouth Rebellion, also known as the Pitchfork Rebellion; The Revolt of the West ane the West Country Rebellion in 1685. The rebellion was led by the eldest illegitimate son of King Charles II, James Scott the Duke of Monmouth, and attracted an army of farm workers, artisans and nonconformists.

Unfortunately for the Duke of Monmouth, his recruits failed to capture the city of Bristol and the rebellion ended with the Battle of Sedgemoor, where Monmouth was beheaded for treason. The exhibition will be held at Taunton Castle and features two important paintings loaned by the Tate and Manchester Art Gallery.
