As an open all year caravan touring park, our hardstanding pitches are a great place to park your caravan or motorhome in November. We've rounded up some of the best things to see and do this November in Somerset to help plan your holiday! Read on for concerts; carnivals and the start of the Christmas markets!

Aside from Glastonbury Festival, Somerset Illuminated Carnival season is the biggest event in the Somerset calendar. Unlike the festival, you won't have to sell your left kidney to get hold of a ticket - because these are free! Expect lights, music, dancing and comedy.

November is full of some fantastic tribute acts for Somerset. Enjoy a great night out at the following:

Music Concert

A sell out event every year, G4 will be returning to Wells Cathedral for their "G4 Christmas" concert on Thursday 23 November. Expect Christmas carols and covers of Christmas pop songs.

Get in to the Christmas spirit with a further Christmas concert at the cathedral a week later, on 29 November. There will be a Viennese Christmas Spectacular concert by candlelight featuring classical music including Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite.

We're a Premier Park Top 100 UK caravan site and you may well have seen us featured on Premier Parks' social media this season as one of their top suggestions for an Autumn getaway.

We have availability throughout November to visit Somerset in your touring caravan or motorhome. Our fully serviced hardstandings are ideal for all weather holidays on our open all year touring park.

If you're usually a camper, but fancy trying out one of our holiday lodges for hire this season, our availability is live on our booking system, with our Blackforest dates also available for 2024!

Book in for Horell & Horrell's microdining experience in Sparkford, featuring locally sourced food cooked over the fire. You'll enjoy dinner in their barn, in their smallholding, surrounded by flowers and their own herd of sheep.

Horrell & Horrell have received exceptional reviews since opening from The Times and Suitcase Magazine. The best part is, at only half a mile away, you can walk to their farm and it's BYOB!

Visit The Market at Haynes Motor Museum on 25 November for the final independent market of the year. Haynes Motor Museum is just half a mile away from us and the independent market is one of the best in the county.

The market in Sparkford has over 50 stalls of the South West's best suppliers of food, drink, fashion, home wares and gifts. You can visit the market from 10:30 to 3:30 and enjoy live music, free parking and it's dog friendly too.

You'll also find a handmade craft fayre at Haynes Motor Museum on 19 November.

Winter Stars

The Christmas Artisan Market returns to The Bishop's Palace on 4 & 5 November from 10:00 - 4:00. There's stalls including Christmas gift ideas and decorations, as well as live entertainment throughout the Palace.

Tickets include a reduce price admission to the Palace building and 14 acres of RHS partner gardens. The Bishop's Table cafe will be serving a seasonal Christmas menu with views of the Palace's croquet lawn.

Visit the home of Babycham and Mulberry, Kilver Court, for their Early Bird Christmas Event. You'll find a showcase of fashion, jewellery, food, beauty, home décor from the finest UK talent.

Spend a day in amongst 300 acres of formal gardens and woodlands at The Newt and join in on their courses and walks through November:

1 & 8 November - Mushroom Masterclass - forage, grow and eat mushrooms

9 November - Dawn walk through the woodlands

15 & 22 November - Hedge laying course

23 November - Dawn walk through the woodlands

The Newt is just 4 miles away from us and RHS members can visit for free on Tuesdays.

Visit the "Threads through Creation" exhibition of twelve textile panels at Wells Cathedral from 18 October to 27 November. The panels tell the story of creation.

It is one of the largest textile projects ever made by a single textile artist, taking three years to make. Following on from a sister exhibition "Threads through Revelation", which ran from 2016 to 2018 and was viewed by more than half a million visitors.

Christmas Pine Tree

In the build up to Christmas and New Year, why not book in a December holiday with us and enjoy the countdown to Christmas with Stourhead's famous light show; Bath's Christmas market and Christmas curries in Bruton.

We're also open for New Year's Eve, with pitches filling up very fast. Whether you're visiting loved ones; looking to get away from it or fancy partying the night away at our local village inn, you'll be very welcome to join us!

Climb through the wardrobe and visit Longleat's version of Narnia, complete with real life lions at this year's Treasured Tales: The Festival of Light 2023. Your favourite childhood books will be reinterpreted as stunning lanterns, with Cinderella, Snow White and the Wizard of Oz joining The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

The light show, which culminates in a fountain display on the lake, will be on display from 11 November and in to next year.

Join "Whispering" Bob Harris OBE for an evening of story and song at At The Chapel in Bruton. Bob Harris will be joined by music from Tom Webber for an evening in the club room.

One of the past 50 years' most influential broadcasters, BBC Radio 1 and 2's DJ has introduced some of the most important mainstream bands to our ears since the 1970s.

You'll currently hear Bob Harris on Thursdays on BBC Radio 2 at 9pm presenting his show, "Bob Harris Country".

Enjoy an authentic French buffet at local pub, The George at Castle Cary on Sunday 12 November. Who wouldn't fancy a posh French alternative to a Sunday roast!
